Days/Eves Rotate ***\nShift: 6:00am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-11:00pm (any day of the week, inclusive of weekends).\n1.\tUnit Name: Pharmacy.\n2.\tBrief Unit Description: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy.\n3.\tYears of Experience Required: 1-2 years.\n4.\tSkill Sets Required: Previous hospital-related experience, formal training, or certification from a pharmacy technician training program desired 1-2 years. A) Retrieves medications from central pharmacy and fills automated dispensing cabinets accurately and safely. B) Perform intermediate mathematical calculations associated with preparing non-sterile, extemporaneously manufactured pharmaceutical products and other medication doses. C) Follow all applicable state and federal controlled substance regulations. D) Continuously improve skills necessary of area-specific technology, including, but not limited to, robotics, automation, software, equipment, and information system. E) Read, interpret, and follow complex verbal and written instructions to prepare medications (IV compounds) in a sterile environment in an accurate manner.\n5.\tEducation Required: High School diploma or equivalent.\n6.\tEMR (Charting System) & Equipment Used: Epic, Omnicell.\n7.\tRotating Shifts Required: Yes.\n8.\tCertification Required: Yes Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration and National Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT).
