Schedule

10 hour shift, rotating Nights. 9:30pm-7:30am.

Job Description

The Medical Lab Technician performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory Medicine to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The technician performs various microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays according to established standards, and calibrates and operates all instruments and equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens.
  • Conduct various microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays.
  • Calibrate and operate laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards for laboratory practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification.
  • Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPIC preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
