We are currently hiring a <\/span><\/span>Medical Scientist – Multidisciplinary<\/span><\/span><\/b> for our <\/span><\/span>hospital client in Cork, Ireland<\/span><\/span><\/b>.<\/span>

Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

• Participate in the ongoing development of a laboratory service that meets the needs of healthcare professionals and patients, aligning with the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of the laboratory.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Collaborate with Consultants and the Laboratory Management Team to ensure timely delivery of accurate and high\-quality patient results.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Contribute to the operational services within a multidisciplinary laboratory team.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Maintain professional competency and uphold impartiality and ethical standards in all duties.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Handle all patient information with the strictest confidentiality.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Perform duties in line with laboratory policies and take responsibility for the quality of work produced.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Actively participate in and promote continuing education, training, and research within the organisation.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Support the professional development of staff through self\-directed learning, formal education, and on\-the\-job training.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Assist in developing, updating, and reviewing departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Foster effective communication within the laboratory team.<\/span>
  <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/li>

• Contribute to the implementation of new ideas, technologies, and methods that support the organisation’s strategic objectives.<\/span>

  Requirements<\/h3>

  • CORU\-registered Medical Scientist.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li> <\/ul>
    • Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li> <\/ul>
      • Experience with <\/span><\/span>ISO 15189<\/span><\/span><\/b> standards (essential) and <\/span><\/span>JCI hospital accreditation<\/span><\/span><\/b> (desirable).
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
        • Previous experience in a hospital laboratory setting is preferable; laboratory experience in a non\-clinical setting will also be considered.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
          <\/li> <\/ul>
          • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
            <\/li> <\/ul>
            • Flexible and able to work effectively in a fast\-paced, demanding environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
