Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a Scientist who is passionate about digital pathology, histology, and spatial biology to join our Immune Memory group based in Slough, UK.

About the Role

This role combines wetlab histology and computational image analysis. You will run histology assays, support a multiplatform tissue profiling pipeline, and collaborate with data science colleagues to automate image analysis workflows that accelerate scientific insight and therapeutic development. Ultimately helping to build and create impact from a spatial multiomic platform.

You’ll collaborate with histologists, computational scientists, and project teams across the research function. You will help keep instruments and platforms operational, support data interpretation, and contribute to method development.

What You’ll Do

  • Run high-quality histology assays supporting tissue profiling and spatial biology research initiatives.
  • Work with data scientists to automate routine imaging analyses using established tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of reagents, workflows, and platform usage for consistency.
  • Contribute to image analysis pipelines using software like QuPath or Visiopharm routinely.
  • Participate in troubleshooting experimental issues to maintain optimal research performance.
  • Present histology and image analysis findings clearly during cross functional meetings.
  • Support experimental documentation, ensuring that regulatory and quality standards are met.
  • Assist in evaluating new technologies that improve tissue imaging throughput and precision.
  • Support scalable metadata management to improve reproducibility and workflow consistency.
  • Ensure all work with human samples complies with HTA and safety regulations.

Interested? We’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in life sciences or related field.
  • Experience in histology plus interest or exposure to digital image analysis.
  • Familiarity with QuPath, ImageJ, Visiopharm, or similar tools.
  • Interest in Python or willingness to build computational skills.
  • Strong communication and ability to work across scientific and data focused teams.
  • Able to work open and collaboratively.
