Respiratory Scientist – Canberra ACT

• Pay: $88,252 - $105,569 (Plus 11.5% Super) | Health Professional Level 2
• Location: The Canberra Hospital, Garran      
• Contract: Full Time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity exists for a Respiratory Scientist to join a leading Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Department of a Government Health Service in Canberra, providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient services. The role involves conducting routine and complex respiratory function assessments, supporting quality management initiatives, and contributing to research and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform respiratory function tests for adult and paediatric patients, including spirometry, lung volume measurements, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
• Assist with research and quality management projects to enhance patient care.
• Provide education and clinical supervision to staff and students.
• Maintain and develop evidence-based, patient-centered clinical practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent
• Minimum 12 months experience in respiratory physiology assessment
• Strong technical skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Eligible for ANZSRS or ACCP membership (desirable)
