Job Summary: To process, embed, cut, and stain human tissue. Staining includes routine and special stains. This job profile may require call subject to the department's discretion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to properly orient, embed, and cut tissue using microtome and cryostat. Understanding of tissue processing. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members. Computer and related software application skills. Ability to maintain accurate records.

Requires occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, frequent exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of
radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety
considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional activities subject to significant volume
changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending,
occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crawling, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional
kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and occasional walking.

Education and Experience: Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) with one (1) year of experience in histopathology.
